Duties
Serving as first level supervisor and exercising all supervisory authority to include planning work to be accomplished by subordinates.
Completing complex analysis and evaluations related to all aspects programs, operations, and systems where there are numerous unknown or complex factors to be identified and analyzed.
Developing and presenting findings and recommendations to the Commander/Director related to local program management.
Planning work to be accomplished, setting short term priorities, preparing schedules for work completion, and assigning work to subordinates based on priorities and employee capability.
Evaluating the work performance of subordinate employees; providing advice or instruction to employees on both work and administrative issues; hearing and resolving serious employee complaints.
Recommending awards for nonsupervisory personnel, developing and implementing ways to eliminate or reduce bottlenecks and barriers to production, promoting team building, and improving business practices through restructuring work.
Reviewing work processes, records, and structures for compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and policies to ensure economy, efficiency, and/or effectiveness in achieving desired results.
Identifying and reporting local systems, processes, and practices that may lead to waste and abuse of Government resources.
Identifying local risks, trends or issues which may indicate a need for changes in implementing regulations at the policy level and referring to HQDLA.
Serving as an external audit liaison by identifying local subject matter experts and arranging and coordinating external auditor field visits.
Briefing officials to gain acceptance and approval of the review program and methodology/procedures used.

Qualifications
To qualify for a Supervisory Internal Review Evaluator, your resume and supporting documentation must support:
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position lo be filled.
To qualify at the GS-13 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes:
Providing complex evaluations of mission effectiveness of operations, policies and procedures.
Overseeing employees' conduct in depth, providing reviews/evaluations, and providing advisory services
Knowledge of applicable agency and Primary Level Field Activity (PLFA) laws, regulations and policies to ensure economy, efficiency and/or effectiveness in achieving desired results.
Identifying local risks, trends or issues which may indicate a need for changes at the policy level
Knowledge of supervisory/managerial competencies including professionalism, leadership, teamwork, oral and written communication, strategic focus, responsibility and accountability, innovation and initiative, customer service and resources stewardship.
Communicating in a clear and concise manner both orally and in writing, including higher level briefings and reports.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Education
Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
