About the Position: This position is located at Patient Administration Division, Munson Army Heath Clinic, Fort Leavenworth, Kansas This is a Direct Hire Solicitation A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Duties

Responsible for the independent management, development, implementation, and supervision of a wide variety of comprehensive programs, benefits, and administrative services for a military treatment facility (MTF). Monitor compliance standards and procedures to be followed to prevent and detect potential fraud and abuse and ensure compliance with Army Regulations and Federal Law. Coordinate investigations with the Quality Manager, Risk Manager, Command Group and legal counsel for major violations of law or policy. Ensure The Joint Commission (TJC) standards are complied with to meet the administrative mission requirements and advises the command of shortfalls. Assign work based on priorities, selective consideration of the difficulty and requirements of the assignments and the capabilities of the employees. Develop performance standards and evaluate employee performance.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• One-year supervisory probationary period required. A one-year probationary period is required if the selectee has not previously met this requirement.

Basic Requirement for a Supervisory Health System Specialist: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes assisting with managing The Joint Commission (TJC) or Compliance program, providing administrative guidance to medical facility managers regarding policies/regulations, and assisting with workload distribution among subordinate employees. Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
