About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the U.S. Army Intelligence and Security Command 500th Military Intelligence Brigade, 715th Military Intelligence Battalion Office of S3.

Duties

Provide technical guidance, support, assistance and oversight for the production of signals intelligence information. Review SIGINT/Cryptologic target material. Train Army, Navy, and Air Force Service Cryptologic Service Element (SCE) personnel who focus on intelligence production issues within the Department's operational divisions.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
• In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET Security Clearance based on a single scope background investigation (SSBI) with eligibility for sensitive compartmented information (SCI).
• Temporary Duty (TDY) travel is required 25% or less of the time.
• All INSCOM employees may be subject to extended TDY or worldwide deployments during crisis situations to perform mission essential functions as determined by management.
• Must be willing to undergo and successfully complete a counterintelligence-scope polygraph examination with No Deception Indicated (NDI) on a periodic basis.
• Shift work, irregular tours of duty, and/or extended duty will be required.
• Under crisis operations, incumbent may be subject to short notice expanded hours and possible recall situations and irregular work hours, including weekends and holidays.

This experience should demonstrate: Knowledge of intelligence processes, cycle and organizations; Knowledge of and/or ability to use research tools such as library holdings, photographs, statistics, graphics and maps; Knowledge of the systems, procedures and methods of analyzing, compiling, reporting and disseminating intelligence data; and/or Knowledge of organization(s) for and methods of collecting and analyzing intelligence data. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GG/GS-12).
