The Risk Analyst Emergency Management Specialist will be responsible for executing the full range of Geospatial Information System (GIS) responsibilities for operational planning, FEMA program delivery and support of disasters in Region 8.

To qualify for this Emergency Management Specialist (GIS) position at the IC-12 level, you must possess one full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the IC-11 level in the Federal government, which has equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. Experience may be obtained in the federal government, a state or local government, or private sector, and must demonstrate the following: Creating maps or other geospatial products to support disaster or emergency operations; and Analyzing complex datasets from a variety of sources including geospatial software and modeling programs to support disaster operations; and Communicating with internal and external stakeholders and conveying technical information related to organizational/agency policies and goals.
