The ideal candidate for this position will have experience in supervising the full range of disaster recovery activities.  The candidate will be a recognized technical expert in disaster recovery, with experience bringing partners together to collaborate and create large-scale solutions with measurable outcomes.  This position starts at a salary of $151,157 (GS-15).

Qualifications

The qualification requirements listed below must be met by the closing date of this announcement. To qualify for this position at the GS-15 level (starting salary $151,657), you must possess one full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-14 level in the Federal government, which has equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. Experience may be obtained in the Federal or Private Sector and must demonstrate all of the following:  Supervisinga diverse team consisting of supervisor(s), team lead(s) and support staff responsible for a broad range of Disaster Recovery Program activities such as Individual Assistance, Public Assistance, and Inter-agency coordination, including assigning work, formally monitoring performance, ensuring work and projects are completed by deadlines; AND Serving as agency-level senior spokesperson at meetings of elected and policy officials, including day to day interactions with senior elected officials on disaster recovery topics; AND Using key performance indicators and other data to manage programs.
