Directs the activities of the Office of Data Analysis within the Office of Program Development and Research (OPDR), Office of Disability and Income Security Programs (ODISP). Provides leadership in the identification of trends in disability programs as well as emerging issues and policy implications. Duties

Serves as principal advisor to the Office Director on all matters related to the ongoing operations of assigned functions. Participates in long range planning to ensure the integration of Office of Data Analysis's objectives with the agency's initiatives. Plans a continuing and comprehensive evaluation of the Office of Data Analysis' operations to define priorities and ensure its efficient and effective operation and provision of personnel and organizational related services to the agency. Ensures the provision of expert staff advice and services to all levels of SSA management and agency employees.

Qualifications

Applicants must have 52 weeks of specialized experience at the GS-14 level, or equivalent, which is in or related to the work of the position to be filled and has equipped applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Such experience must include experience directing the development, production, and use of quality research and statistical data on issues related to federally administered or social insurance program(s) to support policy decision-making processes. Qualification requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement.
