This position is located within the FAA, Security and Hazardous Material Safety, Office of National Security Programs and Incident Response, Regulatory Investigations Division, AXE-700, DUI/DWI Investigations Branch, AXE-710.
Duties
Performs a mixture of basic and routine investigative assignments under the direction of the supervisor or senior investigator. Conducts basic regulatory investigations in the DUI/DWI Investigations Program to assess the reliability, loyalty, suitability, and trustworthiness of FAA certificated airmen that could adversely affect the safety of the National Airspace System (NAS) and public.
Requirements
- US Citizenship is required.
- Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.
- Must submit an SF50 (See Required Documents)
- Designated or Random Drug Testing required.
Qualifications
To qualify for this position you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the FV-F, FG/GS-9 level. This experience is typically related to the line of work of the position to be filled and which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been at least equivalent to the next lower level in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization.Specialized experience is defined as: Experience collecting, correlating, or evaluating applicable documentary evidence and/or testimony related to investigative reports. Experience analyzing documentary evidence to ensure compliance with laws, statutes or regulations.You should include relevant examples of the specialized experience in your work history. Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree

3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
