About the Position: 80th Training Command (TASS), 83rd Army Reserve Readiness Training Command (ARRTC), 100th Division, Fort Knox, KY.

Duties

Digitize, create, and convert multimedia materials. Capture audio/visual images for inclusion in multimedia products. Prepare flowcharts and storyboards. Perform authorized image manipulation, cropping, printing, and finishing work. Operate various graphic equipment such as printers, laminators, dry mount press, binding machine, and hydraulic sheer. Perform maintenance on visual information production equipment. Prepare recurring, periodic and special reports from information contained in office files. Coordinate with customers for the distribution of completed products including pick up and shipping. Prepare memorandums, view graph presentations and spreadsheets, from rough draft to final form. Verify that no violations of federal copyright laws occur. Assist in developing new work methods and researching new equipment. Coordinate with customers during the developmental stages of visual presentation projects to help define objectives.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes :1)digitizing and creating/converting a variety of multimedia materials;2)using computer editing software to enhance and increase the quality of images;3)diagnosing and performing minor repairs on visual information production equipment. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07). OR Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D. in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Graphic Design. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Applies Technology to TasksAttention to DetailCommunications and MediaFine Arts Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-07).
