About the Position: This position is located with the U.S. Army Sustainment Command, 407th Army Field Support Brigade, Logistics Readiness Center, in Fort Carson, Colorado.

Duties

Survey contractor compliance with procedures, statements of work, and regulatory guidance. Assist in the writing of surveillance plans and checklist. Evaluate field support level maintenance services, and retail and national level supply operations performed for maintenance programs. Analyze and evaluate performance of contractors to determine if performance complies with standards.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• This position may have a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 25% of the time.
• This position will require the incumbent to work extended hours during exercises, crises, or contingencies to include shift work and weekends.
• Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.

Current Civilian Employees of the U.S. Army Sustainment Command, 407th Army Field Support Brigade, Fort Carson Logistics Readiness Center, within the local commuting area. Consideration will also be given to current Department of Army Civilian employees with competitive status. In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Applying various methods and/or techniques for investigating, analyzing, and/or effecting corrective action on quality assurance issues, principles, practices, and/or procedures; 2) Analyzing quality data to detect unsatisfactory trends and/or weaknesses in the quality/inspection system; 3) Coordinating with various stakeholders during audits and/or studies; and 4) Providing guidance and/or direction to personnel. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
