Duties

Serves as the Chief of the Supply Planning Branch in the Supply Chain Management, Directorate of Supplier Operations in DLA Energy. Responsible for high-level studies, projects, and support involving critical and time-sensitive strategic and operations matters impacting the bulk petroleum supply chain. Responsible for organizing, leading, directing and coordinating quantitative and qualitative studies and analyses that are highly technical in nature. Performs studies that directly support strategic management decisions and planning, which include investment strategy, business policy, and DLA Energy operations. Provides managerial oversight and technical expertise in the development of quantitative requirements for, acceptance, storage, onward distribution of bulk petroleum products. Oversee centralized inventory management of operating stock and prepositioned war reserve material. Serves as principal advisor and business unit program manager for bulk petroleum supply chain planning and operating. Represents DLA Energy and DoD with industry principals, and at industry conferences, meetings and committees.

Qualifications

To qualify for a Supervisory Inventory and Distribution Management Specialist, your resume and supporting documentation must support: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-14 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes: Planning and directing quantitative and qualitative studies and analyses that are highly technical in nature. Advised on policies and programs and support a wide ranges of logistics functions that impact the bulk petroleum supply chain. Provides managerial oversight on prepositioned war reserve material and centralized inventory management of operating stock. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
