About the Position: Sierra Army Depot is located in Herlong CA, a rural town in Northern California. Employees work a 4/10 work week, Mon-Thurs, 0630-1700 hrs. Youth Facilities and daily childcare available. The depot serves as an Army Expeditionary Logistical Support Center, (Mass transportation is available at minimal cost.)

Duties

The incumbent provides support by filling out, posting or coding supply documents and transactions using the automated systems. Monitors the documents and records associated with receiving, storing and replenishing inventory control. Maintains bench/shop stock files and records to determine technical requirements for supplies and materials. Incumbent utilizes forklift to pick-up, move and store supplies as needed.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• Employee must obtain maintain a valid U.S. Government driver's license.
• Employee must be able to obtain and maintain a current forklift license.
• Qualified typist required. A qualified typist can type 40 words per minute.
• Position requires a pre-employment physical.
• This position has a requirement to lift up to 45 pounds in the regular performance of duties.
• This is a Term position scheduled to last 2 years. A term position may be extended to a maximum of eight years depending upon the needs of management.
• Term employment is subject to a one-year trial period.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes filing various supply documents, tracking inventory, and using computerized supply systems to generate reports. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05). OR Education: One full year of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as Supply Management. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 18. Add the two percentages.
