About the Position: Sierra Army Depot is located in Herlong CA. Employees work Mon-Thurs, 0630-1700 hrs.

Duties

Retrieve data from multiple automated accountable systems to respond to customer inquiries. Prepare reports reflecting findings and corrective actions for clearing up discrepancies in records. Ensure consistency and appropriate cross-referencing for both newly entered and previously entered data. Conduct research on complex or unusual supply transactions.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• This position requires a valid, United State issued motor vehicle driver's license.
• This position requires a qualified typist. A qualified typist can type 40 words per minute based on a 5-minute sample with three or fewer errors.
• Temporary Duty (TDY) may be required up to 5% of the time.
• This position requires successful completion of pre-placement medical examinations.
• This position has a requirement to lift up to 40 lbs. in the regular performance of duties.
• This is a Term position scheduled to last 2 years. A term position may be extended to a maximum of eight years depending upon the needs of management.
• Term employment is subject to a one-year trial period. Employees serving a trial period can be removed with limited appeal rights.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: Conducting physical inventories, using automated supply system and computer programs to research and document investigation results, preparing memorandum/reports, and analyzing/researching data for accuracy and regulatory compliance. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06). OR Education: A half year (i.e., 9 semester hours) of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as supply management. (You must attach copies of transcripts.) OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 9.
