About the Position: This Supervisory Logistics Management Specialist position is located with the US Army, Program Executive Office Simulation, Training and Instrumentation (PEO STRI) in Orlando, FL.
Duties
Develops and assesses systems deployment plans to assure that distribution and support planning for items of new equipment is substantive and accurate.
Directs development of all training programs and training aids and assures delivery as required by the training agency.
Formulates broad policies and objectives for execution of supportability design influence, hardware and post deployment software life cycle support by supporting installations in production and fielding activities of the Project Management Office.
Determines scope and intensity of economic trends, directives and orders of higher echelons on the logistical support programs and takes positive action to effect changes and minimize adverse impact.
Provides direction and implementing policy for progressive personnel management of subordinate staff.
Prepares employee performance standards and appraisals and works with personnel specialists on employee development.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires temporary duty (TDY) travel up to 25% of the time.
- This position requires submission of Financial Disclosure Statement, OGE-450, upon entering the position and annually thereafter.
- This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG). A one-year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- This is a Critical Acquisition Position/Key Leadership Position. Selectee must have Advanced Level Life Cycle Logistics certification upon appointment.
- The incumbent must complete LOG 465 Executive Product Support Manager’s Course, within 24 months of assignment.
- This position requires a 3-year tenure agreement. Must sign DD Form 2888 (Critical Acquisition Position Service Agreement) and execute, as a condition of employment, a written tenure agreement.

To qualify, your resume must describe at least one year of specialized experience which has equipped you with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. This typically includes work performed at the next lower grade/level (NH-03/GS-13) position in the federal service.
Specialized Experience:
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the NH-03 (GS-13) grade level in the Federal service which includes: 1) Providing authoritative advice on integrated production support throughout all phases of the acquisition lifecycle; 2) Tailoring regulations, formal guidance, and processes specific to program and program deliverables; and 3) Overseeing the planning and implementation of product support efforts to ensure the best use of available resources.
