This position is located in the Department of Health & Human Services (HHS), Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Center for Clinical Standards and Quality.
As a SENIOR ADVISOR, GS-0301-15, you will carry top echelon responsibility for all aspects of priority projects concerned with planning, development and implementation of program initiatives necessary to shape CCSQ's approach to a variety of program and administrative issues.
Duties
Provide executive-level technical direction in the development and implementation of quality improvement policies and initiatives.
Serves as an advisor to CCSQ and Agency senior leadership on policies, practices, and day-to-day operations.
Initiates, establishes, and maintains cooperative and collaborative relationships with senior executives, departmental and congressional staff; representatives from counterpart executive governmental departments and independent agencies.
Secure and provide information concerning ongoing and/or proposed activities that may affect the conduct, coordination, execution, and administration of CMS and CCSQ programs and initiatives.
Ability to communicate with others effectively both orally and in writing, to represent Senior Leadership with individuals and groups, both large and small, in working out solutions to complex problems or issues in relation to the work.

In order to qualify for the GS-15, you must meet the following: You must demonstrate in your resume at least one year (52 weeks) of qualifying specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal government, obtained in either the private or public sector, to include: (1) Providing expertise and technical guidance to executive leadership on health information technology, data analytics, or program evaluation to inform federal programs, policies, and strategic initiatives; and (2) Leading the execution of a variety of data and technology focused initiatives on behalf of senior executive level leaders.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
