About the position: This position will be assigned to the Marketing Office. This position includes the opportunity to enroll in Health and Life Insurance, 401K, and Retirement, Annual and Sick Leave.
Duties
Applicants will be reviewed and referred on the following dates: May 3, 2024, May 13, 2024, and closing on May 23, 2024. Announcement will close once position is filled.
Responsible for projects from beginning of assignment and follows through to completion on all aspects. Proposes and plans work method to supervisor, selects suitable color scheme, typestyle and type sizes and recommends ideal subject matter depiction considering objective, deadline, and reproduction method. Work involves preparing professional layouts/graphics for flyers, brochures programs ads, booklets, newsletters, and similar types of publications. Creates preliminary sketches, mockups, or models for production for supervisory approval to ensure accuracy and achieved objectives. Research reference sources and consults with subject- matter experts to assure that the illustrations are accurate presentations of the used to communicate themes. Composes and completes a variety of general and technical artwork in full color, monochromatic, or black and white. Advises and provides guidance to management and customers. Meets and coordinates with project officers, subject-matter experts, and higher-level managers to plan illustration projects. Advises on specific services, capabilities, processes, and suitable equipment to use in term of compatibility, improvability, and availability of photo/graphic images and reproduction processes available. Advises project officers on the capabilities of these processes and various art media. Identifies advantages and disadvantages for various types of material to be used. Determines format, color medium, and method of reproduction considering the customer's specifications. Advises and assists the unit staff. Creates original artwork utilizing computer graphics software. Develops visual graphics available software programs and creates analyzes, interprets, coordinates, accomplishes, and produces products. Compiles and depicts data using various media, drawing instruments, and electronic equipment. Operates electronic, interactive, graphic design equipment, desktop publishers in performance of illustrating duties. Provides recommendations for future acquisition of new equipment or upgrades by researching new technologies and cost-effective methods to meet changing requirements or customer needs. Responsible for maintaining Division's.com website and design of new pages when required to ensure accuracy; coordinates information with flight chiefs activity managers, and supervisor. Designated web maintainer for FSS including posting Division information to the Air Force Portal. Acts in the absence of the Marketing Director.

Qualifying Experience:
Knowledge of variety of methods, techniques and materials used in the design, production, and reproduction of visual products to plan the technical detail if or produce aesthetically composed visual products. Basic knowledge of the mission and functions of the organizations/customers supported to better understand and graphically represent customer requirements. Knowledge of computer appropriately composed illustration. Skill in visualizing and interpreting oral and written instructions to develop accurate portrayals of artistic designs to meet customer requests. Ability to plan projects, research, work with, and advise subject matter experts and high-level managers.
Education
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution.
FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying.
