This position is located in the Facilities Management/Maintenance Department of the Cheyenne River Health Center. The purpose of this position is to provide short term planning, supervision and coordination of the Cheyenne River Service Unit's maintenance department, to repair and perform the full range of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and heating/air conditioning equipment and repairs to 133 or more quarters. Incumbent is "On Call" and rotating schedule status.
Duties
Manages the operation, maintenance, repair and utilization of quarters assigned.
Chairs, participates and advises as a voting member of the Service Unit Housing Committee.
Conducts inspections, on-going inventory of housing furnishing and management reviews of on-site activities.
Coordinates with the Facility Manager to review current expenditures for housing operations and maintenance activities.
Supervises and assigns work to employee to ensure completion of work.
Qualifications

Physical Demands: Physical effort is expended in continually stands and walks for long periods, frequently handles objects weighing up to 100 pounds and continually handles objects weighing up to 20 pounds. Frequently works in cramped or otherwise, uncomfortable positions. Works inside in area that are constantly hot and humid and sometimes noisy and dirty. Occasionally works outside in inclement weather. Will work from ladders, scaffolds, etc. Is exposed to fumes, heat, and cold, danger of broiler explosion and possibility of scalds, cuts, bruises, broken bones and electric shock. The administrative work area is usually adequately lighted, heated and ventilated.
