About the Position: Responsible for coordinating a full range of public communications activities including visual information support, writing news and feature articles, consisting of photographs and text, producing press releases, news summaries, social media content and intranet communication and marketing material to promote and market U.S. Army Public Health Command-Pacific (PHC-P) and its Public Health Activities within the Area of Responsibility (AOR), Indo-Pacific Command.

Duties

Identifies subject matter experts and conducts interviews to produce news and feature articles in compliance with AP style guide as assigned by supervisor within deadline on a wide range of Department of Defense Public Health issues. Responsible for daily maintenance of social media websites to include scheduled and unscheduled posting on Facebook, Twitter, Flicker, etc.

Requirements

  • Able to obtain and maintain Secret Security Clerance
  • Able to obtain and maintain U.S. issued driver license
  • Up to 20% TDY may be required
  • Probationary period may be required
  • Position is Mission Essential
