About the Position: This position is located at Department of Surgery, William Beaumont Army Medical Center, El Paso, Texas.
Duties
Review current and new administration policies to determine required changes and implementing procedures.
Require excellent customer service and an understanding of composing emails and notifications. Excellent understanding of the electronic medical record and the knowledge of how to use the system to complete the lower-grade functions.
Manage the monthly on-call roster for the department's surgeons, being an approver for DMHRSi, being a timekeeper for ATTAPS, completing travel packets for DTS and DTMS order supplies.
Prepare reports and presentations in accordance with general guidance of experienced division analyst. Develop background material and prepares statistical and narrative data of division presentations.
Update power point slides, communicate with the department staff and other departments across the footprint via email or phone, walk documents to command or other leadership lanes, record minutes for meetings.
Require a baseline grasp of DMHRSi, ATTAPS, and Microsoft Office use.

- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes reviewing policies and procedures; maintaining files; and preparing administrative or personnel reports. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).

Education: 1 full year of graduate level education or superior academic achievement in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as Business Administration, Management, or Business Management (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.)
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of by 60. Add the two percentages.
Typing Proficiency: A qualified typist can type 40 words per minute based on a 5 minute sample with three or fewer errors.
