About the Position This is a Contact Representative (Office Automation/Physical Evaluation Board Liaison Officer) position located in Fort Richardson, Alaska.

Duties

Utilize office automated software systems to compile and develop historical and statistical data; develop slides, reports, spreadsheets and other documents for briefings and presentations. Conduct a variety of technical and organizational support duties in the area of work measurement, forecasting, capacity planning and scheduling. Coordinate and gather documentation for service members' medical service treatment records and disability evaluation boards. Coordinate with the Physical Evaluation Board Liaison Officer (PEBLO) and arrange for additional medical information from physicians or Soldier's.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Must successfully complete the 6I-F4/340-F3 training and certification within 180 days of employment and annually thereafter.

OR Education: One full year of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Business Management, Health Administration and Public Management. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.) OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 18. Add the two percentages. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.) Proficiency Required: This position requires a qualified typist. A qualified typist can type 40 words per minute based on a 5 minute sample with three or fewer errors. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Computer SkillsOral CommunicationTechnical CompetenceWritten Communication Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-6).
