Serves as the Materials Handler (FLO) in a Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA) location. The primary purpose of this position is to assist in the receiving, storing, checking, re-warehousing, stock-picking, palletizing, packaging, and shipping a large variety of line items of perishable and semi-perishable subsistence.

Duties

Supporting the receiving, storing, selecting and shipping of stocked merchandise Assist the supervisor in constructing plans to resolve such issues at the earliest stages Retrieves data of incoming product from automated system and utilizes said data to ensure accuracy of incoming container information/deliveries. Continually monitors receiving process, identifies discrepancies (under/over shipment), Read the entire announcement before starting the application process.

Requirements

Qualifications

Your resume should show your specific knowledge, skill, and abilities for this position in relation to each of the elements being measured. Examples of qualifying experience: Supporting the receiving, storing, selecting and shipping of stocked merchandise Monitoring the receiving process, identifying discrepancies (under/over shipment) Experience with current warehouse operating systems, hand held devices and hands free voice activated operated devices Retrieving data of incoming product from automated system and utilizing data to ensure the accuracy of incoming container information/deliveries. You will receive credit for all relevant qualifying experience (paid and unpaid), including volunteer work done through National Service program (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Physical requirements: (1) Stand, stoop, kneel, bend and climb for prolonged periods. (2) Lift, push, pull, carry, and handle items weighing from 60 to 70 pounds. You will attest to your ability to perform these physical requirements in the Questionnaire.
