The primary purpose of the Gallery Support Specialist is to serve as a dynamic and integral member of the Pre-Professional Programs team within the Department of Gallery and Studio Learning and the Division of Learning and Engagement at the National Gallery of Art. This position plays a critical role in supporting the coordination and execution of educational initiatives for teens, interns, and other young learners.

Qualifications
Candidates must meet the Qualification Standards Handbook requirements for the GS-0301-9. A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-7 in the Federal service. For this position, Candidates must possess at least one year of specialized experience, equivalent in responsibility to the GS-7 level in the Federal service, administering any type of complex program.

1. Ability to plan, develop and execute pre-professional program activities.
2. Knowledge of methods and techniques to engage and educate teens, interns, and young learners.
3. Skill in communicating with students, team members, interns, teens external/community organizations, and staff across departments.
Other Relevant Eligibility Criteria: This position requires availability for occasional duty time outside of a normal work week, including during evenings and weekends.
