You will serve as a MAINTENANCE MECHANIC LEADER in the FACILITIES SUSTAINMENT DIVISION of NAVFAC NORTHWEST. This is a RE-ADVERTISEMENT of Announcement Number: ST-12388990-24-BJP. Applicants that have previously applied NEED to re-apply to this announcement.

Duties

You will coordinate maintenance work assignments among staff to maintain work progress and meet schedules. You will maintain a current knowledge and answer questions of other workers on procedures, policies, written instructions, and other directives. You will assure the safety and housekeeping rules are followed. You will use, maintain and account for all types of hand and/or power tools and test equipment. You will explain procedures, policies, written instructions, or other directives to others performing maintenance work.

• May be required to work at a job site or location other than the permanently assigned location.
• This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including rotating shifts, overtime, nights, weekends, holidays and/or be "called back" to meet mission requirements.
• May require possession of a valid Environmental Protection Agency Universal Certification for working with all types of refrigerants at high and low pressures.

The Screen-out Element for this position is: 1) Using of a wide variety of hand tools, test equipment, power tools, and equipment to perform the work;2) Planning, laying out, and completing installation, modification, and repair of new and existing electrical and/or mechanical systems;3) Interpreting building plans, blueprints, wiring diagrams, engineering documents, drawings, and maintenance and repair manuals to plan work.
