You will serve as a MAINTENANCE MECHANIC SUPERVISOR in the PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT of NAVFAC NORTHWEST.

Duties

You will plan work schedules and sequence of operations for the supervised workforce. You will set shop priorities and determine the number and type of personnel required to accomplish job assignments. You will assign work to subordinates either orally, by providing written instructions, manual or electronic work orders through MAXIMO. You will train subordinates in work methods and procedures, proper use of tools and equipment, safety regulations and other regulations and policies established by the Federal Government. You will inspect work in progress to ensure productivity, efficiency, economy, and safety of operations.

• You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
• Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g. fumes, dust, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals). You will be required to participate in medical surveillance programs.
• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
• You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
• You may be required to obtain and maintain additional equipment licensing (e.g., forklift, cranes).
