This position is being recruited under 10 USC 1599f into the Cyber Excepted Service and does NOT convey eligibility to be converted to the Competitive Service. It has been identified as a position necessary to carry out and support the mission of the US Cyber Command.
It is in the PROFESSIONAL Work Category at the FULL PERFORMANCE Work Level within the CES Occupational Structure. It is located in the DISA EIC/ENTRPRS INTEGR AND INNOV CTR.
Duties
Serves as a security specialist, with in-depth experience of security protocols, implementation and maintaining compliance with DOD policies, regulations, and instructions.
Plans, develops, and performs program evaluations; continual program oversight, and assists leadership on all aspects of a security program with a primary focus on the Security Education, Training, and Awareness (SETA) program.
Establishes policies, instructions, procedures, control systems, and methods to prevent the loss of classified information or material. Provides guidance on matters pertaining to the safeguarding and handling of classified and sensitive material.
Serves as the Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) Manager and the Special Security Representative (SSR).
Develops, plans, and implements industrial security policies to ensure cleared DISA contractors safeguard classified information in their possession while performing work on contracts, programs, bids, or research and development efforts.
Develops/promotes program reference material regarding the safeguarding, handling, disseminating, marking, protecting, sharing, destroying, and decontrolling of CUI.

- DoD Security Accreditation and Certification is required.
Qualifications
In order to qualify for this position, you must meet the requirements described below.
Qualifying Experience:
To qualify at the GG-13, your resume must describe at least one year of experience that demonstrates the competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Experience refers to any paid or unpaid experience, including volunteer work and Military service, that would be considered equivalent to work normally performed at the next lower grade level in the federal service.
For this position, qualifying experience is defined as: Experience working in multiple security disciplines such as information, personnel, physical, industrial, operations, emanations, special security programs, and information assurance to provide advice and guidance to leadership, conduct inspections and reviews to minimize and mitigate security vulnerabilities in order to manage a security program.
