This position is located in Department of Homeland Security, US Coast Guard, DEP COMDT FOR MISSION SUPPORT, ASST COMDT FOR ENGINEERING AND LOGISTICS (CG-4), OFFICE OF CIVIL ENGINEERING (CG-43), BUSINESS OPERATIONS DIV (SILC) in Norfolk, VA.
Duties
This position serves as the Facility Related Control System FRCS) Manager/Senior ISSM, responsible for ensuring the cybersecurity position, confidentiality, integrity, and availability of systems and data.

Qualifications
FOR THE GS-13:Candidates must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level in the Federal government. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work. Examples of specialized experience includes performing feasibility studies and cost benefit analysis to support alternatives; defining and validating the need for proposed new systems through consultation with program officials in customer program organizations; reviewing general business and functional requirements that support the need for systems; identifying and evaluating potential system design approaches and developing the final technical specifications for new systems.
National Service Experience (i.e., volunteer experience): Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.The Office of Personnel management (OPM) must authorize employment offers made to current or former political appointees.
