Duties

The primary duties of this position are: Performs a variety of laborer duties (loads and unloads materials and equipment, uses small pneumatic tools, moves, and stacks materials, grounds keeping, retrieves tools, grinds, cleans generator parts, erects scaffolding, etc.) Assist skilled trades and craftsman by performing manual laboring task. Drives and operates light and heavy-duty trucks, mobile equipment, etc. Loads and unloads boxes, materials supplies to and from trucks. Operates small powered sweeper in keeping roadways, parking lots and other areas clean. Operates a forklift to transport full garbage dumpsters. Performs a variety of janitorial work to include sweeping, dusting, waxing, polishing and window washing to keep offices, restrooms and other areas clean.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Selective Placement Factor: This position requires a current, valid Driver License.
