About the Position: Position may be filled as a time-limited promotion, reassignment or change to lower grade not to exceed (NTE) 5 years by a current permanent Army Employee. Time-limited promotions may be extended up to a maximum of 5 years. Time-limited reassignments and change to lower grade may exceed 5 years, however return rights may be impacted. Position may be made permanent without further competition.
Duties
Plan, schedule, and coordinate the efforts of the mission budget to produce a budget plan and execution process for the organization and supported mission activities.
Recommend approval and/or disapproval on funding requests.
Provide advice to managers during the formulation of the annual budget estimates for the budget year and out-years.
Plan work to be accomplished by team members and supporting personnel, setting priorities and scheduling completion.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- A One-year probationary period may be required.
- Must obtain and maintain a Financial Management Level 2 Certification within two years of being assigned in this position.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Applying governing budgetary policies, precedent setting decisions, procedures, and/or regulations to ensure budget forecasts, estimates, and submissions conform to financial requirements, guidelines, and/or objectives; 2) Administering an overall budgetary management system; AND 3) Preparing detailed analysis and estimates of an organization's annual funding needs. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11)
