The position is located in the Room 1 of the Office of Administration, Chief Operations Office, Executive Office of the President (EOP). Room 1 coordinates EOP daily operations for the campus and serves as the one stop shop for any questions from staff regarding facilities, events, space and operations.
Duties
As a Operations Specialist (Physical), GS-0301-12, your typical work assignments may include the following:
Assists in the drafting, editing, tracking and completion of decision, informational and event memos.
Organizes presentations, edits information for clarity and accuracy, and prepares or arranges for graphics to support presentations.
Develops and edits products to organize, balance, and apply a consistent style, grammar, and flow to the finished product.
Coordinates, analyzes, and evaluates EOP operations.
Administers and evaluates internal management plans, direction, and practices which require consideration and integration of specialized needs.
Recommends changes pertaining to operating practices with component POC's.
Leads and develops agendas for campus-wide administrative component monthly meetings intended to communicate activities across campus.
Serves as the main point of contact and drafts/coordinates operational policies, procedures, and requirements for continuity in preparation for Presidential transitions.

- Status candidates must meet time-in-grade requirements (52 weeks at the next lower grade level).

Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS: All applicants must meet the qualification requirements outlined below to be considered minimally qualified for this position. The qualification requirements are in accordance with the Office of Personnel Management Qualification Standards.
TIME-IN-GRADE REQUIREMENTS: Applicants possess one full year (52 weeks) of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower grade level or pay band in Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have a minimum of one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility comparable to the next lower grade or comparable pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private sector.
ALL QUALIFICATIONS MUST BE MET BY THE CLOSING DATE OF THIS ANNOUNCEMENT.
You may qualify at the GS-12 level, if you meet the following minimum qualification requirement:One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private sector which includes: 1) Preparing, editing and updating technical documentations and memos 2) Overseeing operational activities/amenities to include, but not limited to, parking, concessions, etc. and 3) Creating standard operations guides, policies and checklists.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service program (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
