About the position: This position will be assigned to the Marketing Office at Robins AFB, GA.
Flexible employees have no guaranteed hours, but may work up to 40 hours per work.
This position does not offer benefits.
Must be flexible and attend FSS events and functions (day/evening/weekend/holiday) to provide media coverage, including live streaming.
Duties
The primary function of the position is to assist the marketing division with design, development, and maintenance of digital marketing assets, to include website, social media, email/text campaigns, and other digital marketing programs for the 78th Force Support Squadron (78FSS). Works under the direction of the Marketing Director to plan, develop (construct), deploy, and maintain 78th Force Support Squadron website, digital content, social media content development and management. Assists with creation of marketing collateral, surveys, graphics, photography/videography and campaigns. Using highly developed organizational skills, serves as primary web/social media and digital content administrator, ensuring content is current and accurate, sites/profiles are functional and operational 24/7; Updates, adds, deletes, backups/restores, and revises content based on information provided by the Marketing Office or approved input from leadership on daily basis. Position requires writing, editing, and designing content for digital publishing. Designs and develops multi-platform digital interactive multimedia consistent with non-digital media, site animation, GIF's, live streaming feeds, and special-effects elements. Assists co-workers with projects/tasks, creating/distributing a variety of marketing materials across various platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, and others. Performs other marketing tasks such as text blasts, email blasts, etc. Works with Marketing Director to ensure digital content meets squadron and mission objectives, and properly reflects Air Force standards. Works with AF agencies governing web content/security to ensure all regulations and DoD guidelines are met. Uses a variety of web, social media, multimedia, and graphics platforms, applications, techniques, plugins, apps, and tools. Continuously explores, recommends, uses, and optimizes communication methods and technologies to engage with customers, and to maximize the squadron's branding, products, and services; identifies relevant new strategies/technologies/industry trends; creates and boosts customer's engagement, brand exposure and applies them into operations and activities. Assists Marketing Director in developing communication strategies to determine the most effective and efficient method of reaching the target market. Assists in administering surveys, focus groups, collecting data, tabulating responses, and analyzing results. Creates and administers interactive online forms and documents, tracks and reports user analytics, creates tracking link, statistics, SEO, other metrics, and aggregate data for each platform.

- This position requires the incumbent to complete a background investigation with favorable results.

Qualifying Experience:
Degree with emphasis in Web design, marketing, communication, and/or design is strongly desired. Progressive or educational experience in social/digital media-centric role, online brand marketing, or online communities and social networking in a professional capacity also desired. Experience which provides a general knowledge of marketing/digital marketing principles and practices. Experience must demonstrate the ability to perform management of our website (Ex. WordPress/Drupal), research, select, arrange and compose material and maintain well-organized files. Education above the high school level in a related field may be substituted for progressive and demonstrable experience. Experience in social media management (content development / scheduling / optimizing). In addition, must have specialized experience which demonstrates the ability to design and layout advertising copy and artwork using desk top publishing software, word processing and other software. Experience developing, conducting and analyzing market research information. Skilled in Adobe Suites (Photoshop, Lightroom, PremierPro, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.), Microsoft applications. Efficient DSLR camera/video. Ability to read, write and speak English. Must possess skill in dealing with customers and the public.
Education
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does allow for education substitution.
FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying.
