About the Position: This position will serve as a Mail Assistant with Directorate of Human Resources, US Army Installation Management Command located at Fort Sill Oklahoma. ***This is an obligated position.***

Duties

Monitor expenditures to ensure mail is dispatched at the lowest economical cost. Determine the proper classification of materials to ensure content pertains to government business. Route mail to organizational segments or individuals. Maintain mail room records in accordance with established procedures and policies.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Employee is required to obtain and maintain a valid state driver's license.
  • This position requires a pre-employment physical examination and annual physical thereafter
  • This position requires to obtain and maintain Secret Security clearance.

Qualifications

Position may be filled as a time-limited promotion, reassignment or change to lower grade not to exceed NTE April 2025 by a current permanent Army employee. Time-limited promotions may be extended up to a maximum of five years. Time-limited reassignments and changes to lower grade may exceed five years, however return rights may be impacted. Position may be made permanent without further competition. Term Appointment NTE: 3 Years - Position may be filled as a term appointment NTE: April 2027. Term appointments may be extended beyond six (6) years, up to eight (8) years. With DoD approval, term appointments may be extended beyond eight (8) years. Current permanent Federal employees (to include permanent Army employees) applying for a term appointment will be appointed/converted into a term appointment with no statutory return rights back to a permanent position. This definition of general experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Computer SkillsCustomer Service (Clerical/Technical)Management Tools Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).
