About the Position: This position will serve as a Mail Assistant with Directorate of Human Resources, US Army Installation Management Command located at Fort Sill Oklahoma.
Duties
Monitor expenditures to ensure mail is dispatched at the lowest economical cost.
Determine the proper classification of materials to ensure content pertains to government business.
Route mail to organizational segments or individuals.
Maintain mail room records in accordance with established procedures and policies.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Employee is required to obtain and maintain a valid state driver's license.
- This position requires a pre-employment physical examination and annual physical thereafter
- This position requires to obtain and maintain Secret Security clearance.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Process incoming and outgoing mail; 2) Perform postal operations to include operating mail metering systems and equipment; and 3) Provide guidance and assistance to organizations on the proper mailing procedures. This definition of general experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).
