About the Position: This position will serve as a Training Specialist (Doctrine) within the Combined Arms Center for Training (CAC-T), Training Management Directorate (TMD), Training Management Doctrine Division, Fort Leavenworth, KS.

Duties

As a Training Specialist (Doctrine), you will perform duties to include, but not limited to the following: Serve as the lead author in developing functional training with responsibilities for conducting doctrine research, writing, staffing and coordinating publication of training doctrine and related materials. Review, analyze, and provide comments and recommendations relating to other Army doctrinal products to ensure synchronization with current Army training doctrine principles, procedures, and concepts. Participate on teams established to conduct studies or to propose training doctrinal concepts. Present briefings to officials on emerging and published training doctrine concepts and materials.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Incumbent must obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
  • Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel may be required up to 15%.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Oral CommunicationTechnical CompetenceWritten Communication Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12). Note: All applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade and specialized experience requirements within thirty (30) days after the closing date of the announcements.
