The primary purpose of this position is to to provide executive support in the planning and execution of the daily operations of the Director of Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (A2), including general analysis and staff advisory services.
Duties
1. Supports the Director, Deputy Director, and Senior Enlisted Leader. Provides critical analysis and brainstorming on issues of interest to senior leadership. Facilitates the formulation of plans, command and directorate objectives, policies, priorities and procedures to ensure implementation of directorate wide initiatives.
2. Performs high-level managerial, integrating, analytical and time-sensitive staff activities.
3. Plans, organizes and executes complex programs, including analysis of topics covered, potential problems and recommendations.
4. Provides advice, assistance, and guidance on budgeting and related information to the Resource Manager and division personnel.

- All new DCIPS employees are required to complete a two-year DCIPS trial period.
- Position is designated special-sensitive and requires eligibility for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), other intelligence-related Special Sensitive information, or involvement in Top Secret Special Access Programs (SAP).

Qualifications
In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions.
This is a GG-12 position in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). The GG-12 duties for the "Professional" work category are at the "Full Performance" work level and are equivalent to those at the GS-12 level. The selectee's salary will be set within the grade equivalent to a GS/GG grade based on the selectee's qualifications in relation to the job.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Your resume must reflect the quality level of experience which demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for successful job performance required for this position. Examples of creditable experience include: knowledge of military command structure, missions, programs and organizational relationships and program goals and objectives, the sequence and timing of key operational events and milestones and methods of evaluating and planning actions as related to actual events. Note: Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector, or experience gained in another government agency.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Knowledge of staff operations management concepts, principles, and methodologies
2. Knowledge of PACAF mission, objectives and procedures to include: knowledge of various command entities involved in overall planning and execution of manpower, personnel and services operations.
3. Skill in basic analytical ability to discern short, medium and long-term effects of changes in staff operations practices, procedures and policies, and to effectively analyze the various components of staff operations as part of an integrated whole.
4. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing. Utmost tact and diplomacy are required to meet all requirements and ensure all contacts are handled appropriately.
5. Ability to negotiate complex issues and maintain good working relationships.
6. Knowledge of military command structure, missions, programs and organizational relationships and program goals and objectives, the sequence and timing of key operational events and milestones and methods of evaluating and planning actions as related to actual events.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
