In this position, you will serve as an Historic Preservation Specialist for Regional Offices, Region Ten, Mitigation Division, Recovery Support Section. The ideal candidate for this position will have experience with historic architecture and/or historic preservation, consistent with the Secretary of Interior's Professional Qualification Standards; and applying National Historic Preservation Act compliance to projects.

To qualify for this Historic Preservation Specialist position at the IC-09 level, you must possess one full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the IC-07 level in the Federal government, which has equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. Experience may be obtained in the federal government, a state or local government, or private sector, and must demonstrate the following: Assisting with applying historic preservation laws or regulations to programs or projects; Assisting with the development of historic preservation and/or compliance documents, reports, or plans; and Communicating historic preservation policy or program concepts to internal and external stakeholders. OR master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., if related OR Combination of education and experience. To qualify for this Historic Preservation Specialist position at the IC-11 level, you must possess one full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the IC-09 level in the Federal government, which has equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. Experience may be obtained in the federal government, a state or local government, or private sector, and must demonstrate the following: Applying historic preservation laws or regulations to programs or projects; Developing historic preservation and/or compliance documents, reports, or plans; and Providing technical assistance related to historic preservation laws, executive orders, and/or regulations to internal and external stakeholders.
