In this position you will work in FEMA Region Ten's, Regional Office, Grants Programs Division. The ideal candidate will have experience executing, planning, directing, coordinating, and evaluating the Assistance to Firefighters Grants (AFG) program and serving as an advisor regarding fire and fire related hazards and issues.

Duties

What will I do in this position if hired? This position is located in the FEMA Region 10 Regional Office, Grants Programs Division and is responsible for executing, planning, directing, coordinating, and evaluating regional implementation of the Assistance to Firefighters Grants and serves as an advisor to the Division Director and other divisions, in the performance and execution of functions related to fires as well as fire related hazards and issues. Qualifications

Current Federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade or equivalent grade band in the Federal service. The time-in-grade and qualification requirements must be met within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement. To qualify for this position at the GS-13 level, you must possess one full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 level in the Federal government, which has equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. Experience may be obtained in the Federal or Private Sector and must demonstrate all of the following: One year experience as a firefighter (volunteer or full time) and/or as a first responder; and, Administering and/or managing grants or grant-funded projects, including disaster and/or non-disaster; and, Developing and delivering presentations and training to internal and external stakeholders.
