The Fiduciary Hub Training Specialist serves as a training specialist and coordinator for all Fiduciary Hub training to include all annual required training, initial training and ongoing training for the Fiduciary Hub. The Fiduciary Hub training program is a multifaceted development program that is intended to address a wide variety of needs and objectives. Types of training may include: Veterans Benefit Administration (VBA) program training, basic skills, and quality improvement training.

Qualifications

To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement, 04/26/2024. TIME-IN-GRADE REQUIREMENT: Applicants who are current Federal employees, former Federal employees applying for reinstatement, or a current federal employee applying for Veterans Employment Opportunities Act of 1998 (VEOA) appointment must meet time in grade requirements. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. NOTE: This does not apply to Non-Federal Applicants, or applicants applying for consideration under Non-Competitive Authority (i.e.... "30% or more Disability", VRA, and/or Schedule A). For a GS-09 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-07 level. For a GS-11 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-09 level. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: You may qualify based on your experience and/or education as described below: This position does have an IOR that must be met in addition to the Time-in-Grade and regular Specialized Experience qualifications. In order to qualify for this position, you must have the education or experience listed below: Education: Graduate Education Major study must have been Education or a subject area related to this position. OR Experience: that demonstrates a practical knowledge of the subject area of the position and of the methods and techniques of instruction. Examples of qualifying specialized experience include: Teaching or instructing in an adult education program, secondary school, college, military installation, or industrial establishment in the appropriate field(s); Supervising or administering a training program; Development or review of training/course materials, aids, devices, etc., and evaluation of training results; Work in the occupation or subject-matter field of the position to be filled that required training or instructing others on a regular basis. Specialized Experience GS-9: Applicants must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade (GS-07) in the normal progression for the occupation within the organization. Specialized experience is defined as performing training or qualify review on the work of others with regard to applying the full range of Veterans' benefits programs to assist Veterans, their beneficiaries, and other representatives. Education Substitution: 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., if related Note: Transcripts Required. GS-11: Applicants must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade (GS-09) in the normal progression for the occupation within the organization. In addition to the Specialized Experience required at the GS-9 grade level, Specialized experience for the GS-11 is defined as experience in one of the following: Developing training guidelines and objectives, instructional methods and course material Providing management advisory services, including making planned, systematic studies of immediate and long-range training needs Managing a training program to include planning and coordinating all activities for assigned students, instructors and classes Combining Education & Specialized Experience: If you do not fully meet the length of experience and education described for a specific grade level (e.g. have six months of experience and some coursework but not a degree), the two can be combined to total 100% of the requirement. Volunteer Experience: Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religions; spiritual; community; student; social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Note: A full year of work is considered to be 35-40 hours of work per week. Part-time experience will be credited on the basis of time actually spent in appropriate activities. Applicants wishing to receive credit for such experience must indicate clearly the nature of their duties and responsibilities in each position and the number of hours a week spent in such employment. Physical Requirements: The work is primarily sedentary. Some work may require walking in offices and similar areas for meetings and to conduct HR work. Work may also require walking and standing in conjunction with travel to and attendance at meetings and conferences away from the worksite. The work does not require any special physical effort.
