As a Program Manager at the GS-0340-14, you will be part of Retirement Services, Office of Personnel Management. If selected, you will be responsible for program control and execution of the Branch's functions in serving the needs of retirees under the Retirement Eligibility and Services.
Duties
Ensures high quality, technically correct, and timely services are provided to all inquiries.
Develops work plans for Branch and providing input for the work plans of the Group that support OPM Strategic Goals.
Analyzes and make decisions concerning work problems presented by subordinate staff.
Keeps higher-level management advised of significant problems, emerging trends, resource needs, and other matters requiring top management attention.
Negotiates and oversee contractual agreements with private organizations or individuals.
Monitor the execution of contracts to ensure that the services provided meet the agreed-upon standards and contribute effectively to the program's goals .
Qualifications
For the GS 14: You must possess at least one full year (52 weeks) of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-13 grade level or payband in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors) that must include all: 1) performing contract administration including oversight; and 2) developing work and performance plans and establishing clear priorities to hold staff accountable in accomplishing assignments within deadlines; and 3) providing direction to individuals to guide and motivate them in accomplishing work assignments; and 4) conducting research and verifying data related to an individual's insurance benefits to ensure information being provided is accurate; and 5)reviewing written materials (e.g. correspondence, reports, presentations, etc.) for accuracy and truthfulness of information.
Merit promotion applicants must meet the time-in-grade requirement as defined in 5 CFR 300, Subpart F. One year at the GS-13 grade level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS14 level.

Education
