Duties
Serves as the Real Property Officer/Accountable Property Officer to the Region.
Responsible to oversee, update, and maintain real property and Accountable Property accounts.
Serves as technical advisor to Region activities and staff on logistical matters and property management.
Provides technical guidance to Region personnel and other regional points of contact, both Federal and private sector, regarding the Property Plant and Equipment (PPE) program.
Tailors and executes material management programs, including inventory control and distribution throughout the system.
Plans and develops policies for the overall supply/property management operation, including, but not limited to, procedures, stock control, storage, issue, disposal, and accountability.
Provides guidance to DLA Energy Field Commanders in coordination, development, and implementation of Activity policy directives concerning the Property, Plant, and Equipment program.
Maintains complete and current knowledge of all applicable Federal, DoD, DLA, and relevant Service-specific regulations.
Conducts surveys, inspections, and inventories to ensure compliance with logistical directives and appraises operating officials of detected deficiencies and prescribes corrective action.

Qualifications
To qualify for a General Supply Specialist, GS- 2001-12 your resume and supporting documentation must support:
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To qualify at the GS-12 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after- competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes:
Providing supply management operations such as: real property accountability, real property financial reporting, cataloging, inventory management, and property utilization.
Conducting surveys and studies on operating programs to determine proper application of agency standards, improved methods or approved industry techniques.
Developing policies for the overall supply/property management operation.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Education
Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
