Duties
Review and/or evaluate Technical Data Packages (TDPs) for completeness and clarity for an organization
Prepare quality assurance contract clauses and data requirements for inclusion in procurement packages
Apply organizational knowledge and functions pertaining to quality assurance
Proficient with Logistics Modernization Program (LMP), ACE Windchill, Product Data Reporting Evaluation Program (PDREP), Parts Tracker, and i2Log databases
Determine if specific data is required from subordinate offices for evaluating or justifying alternatives to proposed changes
Evaluate technological trends and establishes progressive approaches for achieving advances in quality
Coordinate quality assurance evaluations, analyzes system failures and inadequacies for an organization
Experience identifying quality issues that affect readiness and root cause analysis
Extensive experience with new acquisition programs
Provide contract personnel with interpretations and explanations of QA-related specifications and requirements
Coordinate with functional personnel to develop plans and prepare local procedures for applying directives from higher headquarters
Interpret regulatory and directive material issued or to be issued by higher authority and prepares necessary instructions
Experience working with maintenance, Quality Assurance, and AWCF personnel
Identifies situations where deviations or exceptions to policy should be authorized
Evaluate design efforts to ensure all appropriate environmental and performance issues have been considered and addressed
Evaluate engineering change proposals and waivers/deviations for their impact on product integrity
Determine appropriate guidelines and uses them to improve quality assurance methods and techniques
Experience developing and maintaining multiple QA plan(s) associated with various programs to assure continued product quality is consistently maintained throughout the life cycle for assigned system(s)

Experience with programs in various life-cycle phases, from new acquisition to sustainment, and the requirements that drive each stage.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires a Non-Critical Sensitive Secret security clearance.
- This position requires a three-year probationary period.
- This position may require temporary duty (TDY) business travel up to 15%.
- This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position.
- Selectee must meet position requirements for Engineering and Technical Management Foundational Certification within 36 months of entrance on duty.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the DE 02 Pay band grade level in the Federal service which includes: (1) applying quality assurance principles and processes in acquisition lifecycle management; (2) providing contract management services in a quality assurance environment; (3) Interpreting quality assurance policies/regulations to provide guidance.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service DE-02 (GS-11 Equivalent).
