This position is located in Department of Homeland Security (DHS), United States Coast Guard (USCG), Deputy Commandant for Mission Support, Assistant Commandant for Human Resources/SADI (CG-1), Director of Health & Safety (CG-11), Office of Sexual Assault Prevention, Response, and Recovery (SAPRR) Oversight & Policy (CG-114), Washington, DC.

Duties

You will serve as the SAPRR Business Operations Specialist, a supporting team member to the SAPRR Oversight & Policy Office Chief, and responsible for a variety of financial, contracting, and administrative responsibilities that include data management and collection required by Congress. You will also serve as a Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR) for CG-114, overseeing contract development, content, and compliance throughout the contract lifecycle. In addition, you will serve as financial manager overseeing budgeting, spend plan development and execution, and developing future year resource requirements with supervisory guidance.

Qualifications

GS-12:  To qualify for this position, candidates must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11). Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work.  Specialized experience for this position includes: supporting and coordinating contract work; identifying and resolving issues through proactive work with the contractor and subject matter experts; managing the administrative operations and projects of an organization; budget and financial management duties for an office; and communicating with internal personnel on services, equipment, and requirements within an organization.   This position requires strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, excellent grammar and attention to detail, and some website development (website training will be provided).National Service Experience (i.e., volunteer experience): Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.The Office of Personnel management (OPM) must authorize employment offers made to current or former political appointees.  If you are currently, or have been within the last 5 years, a political Schedule A, Schedule, C, Non-career SES or Presidential Appointee employee in the Executive Branch, you must disclose this information to the Human Resources Office.
