About the Position: Serve as the Military District of Washington (MDW) Building Management Specialist with responsibility for providing analytical, planning, advisory, operational, or evaluative work involving the management, maintenance, and execution of MDW workspace maintenance and associated projects and work and service orders including essential building services and renovation products in coordination with Department of Public Works (DPW) of Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall (JBM-HH).

Duties

Provide analytical, planning, and advisory work involving the management, maintenance, repair and execution of workspace and essential building services and products. Manage facility, utility, and grounds plans. Evaluates structural characteristics of facilities, including but not limited to utilities, age, location, condition, and utilization to assess the condition of the facility and equipment. Administer the preventive maintenance program to ensure effective use and care of equipment and facilities. Develops policies, plans, procedures, and standards for Facilities Management Office. Conduct continuing surveillance of MDW facilities to include maintenance, repair, alterations, modifications, minor construction, and remediation work to assure conformity with regulations, official policies, and established procedures. Develop technical documentation, cost analyses, and detailed justifications to support recommendations. Coordinate with management officials, facilities engineers, and safety personnel to assure that proper safeguards are implemented in accordance with established safety standards.
