This position is located in FIELD OPERATIONS DIRECTORATE OFFICE OF FIELD OPERATIONS DISTRICT 34 DISTRICT 34. As an Training Specialist, you will manage the analysis, design operation, delivery, and evaluation of Office and administers the program activities to the workplace.

Duties

Serves as a training and development specialist and works in collaboration and coordination with the FOD Training and Development (TDD) and the Office of Human CapitaI (HCT). Provides overall coordination of the District Training Program and work with Regional District and Program management to identify individual and broad-based training requirements. Analyze, design, develop, implement, and evaluate training products that meet the needs of the directorate. Ensure consistency and standardization in the development and delivery of learning services. Coordinates compliance with mandatory training requirements and maintain records of compliance.

The qualifications for this position must be met by 11:59 PM (Eastern Time) on 04/22/2024. Current Federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the lower grade or equivalent grade band in the Federal service. The Time-in-Grade requirement must be met by 11:59 PM (Eastern Time) on 04/22/2024. Basic Requirements: All applicants must meet the following basic requirements: (Must be supported in Transcripts from an accredited institution, Resume and/or Applicable Certificate) Undergraduate and Graduate Education: Major study - education or a subject area related to the position to be filled. OR General Experience: Experience that demonstrated a practical knowledge of the subject area of the position and of the methods and techniques of instruction. Examples of qualifying specialized experience include: Teaching or instructing in an adult education program, secondary school, college, military installation, or industrial establishment in the appropriate field(s). Supervising or administering a training program. Development or review of training/course materials, aids, devices, etc., and evaluation of training results. Work in the occupation or subject-matter field of the position to be filled that required training or instructing others on a regular basis. General or Specialized Experience Requirement GS-13: You qualify at the GS-13 level if you possess one (1) year of specialized experience, which is equivalent to the GS-12 level in the federal government, that equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. You must have experience performing the following duties: Knowledge of the concepts, principles, and practices of training program administration in order to plan, administer, and evaluate the application of programs. Plan, schedule, and carry out major training initiatives and objectives. Assist in developing recommendations for implementing specific guidelines and standards for use in instructional design, employee development, and organizational development. Analyze major aspects of mission-oriented training programs, by generating and applying new hypotheses and concepts to improve effectiveness and efficiency of operations.
