This position is located in the Division of Risk Management Supervision, Atlanta Regional Office of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation and provides administrative and technical support. Duties

Serves as primary source of administrative and technical support to the Regional Director, Deputy Regional Directors, and Assistant Regional Directors. Reviews and arranges all incoming correspondence for attention and follows up to ensure actions are completed. Receives telephone calls and visitors to the office, determines nature of business, and registers guests with building and office security. Answers inquiries regarding information of a non-technical nature. Serves as primary point of contact for delegations in the region. Maintains the Regional senior managers' calendars and schedules, which include meetings with multiple internal and external participants from a number of organizations. Coordinates and schedules meetings and space, prepares agendas, collects and distributes meeting materials, records and transcribes minutes and action items. Coordinates travel arrangements including transportation and hotel reservations for Regional senior managers and develops travel binders. Supports Regional management’s participation in banker outreach ensures speaking engagements are appropriately reported, ethics forms are reviewed and responses to requests are completed. Maintains bank contact lists, drafts and distributes invitation letters, manages responses, and distributes regional newsletters. Drafts and distributes general, non-examination related correspondence, such as congratulatory letters, expression of sympathy, and award certificates. Provides clarification on administrative policies, practices, and procedures as it relates to their area of support. Ensures Regional memoranda are kept up-to-date and posted on Regional SharePoint sites. Serves as backup in assisting with the processing of various examination, application and enforcement related actions or documents. Creates, maintains, and updates automated records; transmits information to banks; problem solves submission errors; and produces standardized reports. Serves as a quality control coordinator for the Region’s document imaging and distribution system (RADD). Serves as timekeeper, helping to ensure that time and attendance is recorded consistent with FDIC policies.

Qualifications

Qualifying experience may be obtained in the private or public sector. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic, religious/spiritual; community; student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Additional qualifications information can be found here. To qualify, applicants must have completed at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the grade 07 level or above in the Federal service. Specialized experience is experience providing executive-level administrative support responsible for preparing or coordinating the development of information for reports, managing the flow of correspondence and mail, preparing items for signature, maintaining an executive's calendar, arranging  travel and establishing administrative priorities.
