About the Position: Serves as the administrative assistant to the Construction Branch Chief concerning substantive administrative programs to include Facilities Equipment Maintenance (FEM), budget tracking and execution, Resident Management System (RMS), supply management, personnel administration, the business portion of contract administration, records management, office automation, etc.
Duties
Serves as the primary project site employee responsible for the review and application of administrative guidelines necessary for Construction operations.
Responsible for project timekeeping in accordance with regulatory guides and use of Corps of Engineers Financial Management System (CEFMS).
Provides preventative and routine Maintenance requirements for newly completed construction equipment and systems for inclusion in the Facilities Equipment Maintenance (FEM) control program.
Gathers background data in preparation of budget submissions; provides estimates on certain areas such as supplies, utilities, cost of recurring contracts, and Automatic Data Processing (ADP) needs.
Responsible to ensure that Contract Files required by Contracting Officer for both Administrative Contracting Officer (ACO) and COR documentation are properly created immediately after award.
Continually analyzes summaries and printouts to check, verify, and correct data as necessary.

- The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.

Specialized Experience: One year specialized experience of which includes (1) Applying administrative guidelines necessary for Construction operations; (2) Maintaining construction and maintenance information in automated management maintenance systems; (3) maintaining inventory and property records. (4) assisting project staff in the resolving of a variety of administrative problems requiring the application of the various guidelines; (5) answering inquiries about change order status, modification status, another contract status questions. This definition of general experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).
