About the Position: This position is with the Army Sustainment Command located in the Joint Personal Property Office at Hanscom AFB MA.
Duties
Maintain quality control through oversight of subordinates and inspection of contractor work.
Establish process/procedural direction/operating instructions to facilitate accurate/timely processing of personal property shipment/storage requests.
Provide technical assistance, advice, and decisions related to the movement and/or storage of personal property.
Perform a full range of first and second line supervisor duties for personnel assigned to various geographically dispersed locations.
Develop, coordinate, and implement traffic management plans, programs, policies, procedures and techniques applicable to the preparation, movement, storage, and payment of personal property.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
- Temporary Duty Travel of 25% may be required.
- Must possess or be able to obtain and maintain a valid State Driver's License.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: Providing counsel to customer seeking transportation services; inspecting contractor work for compliance with contract requirements and regulations; compiling data for reports/studies related to transportation/storage of goods; participating in developing/coordinating/implementing traffic management plans, programs, policies, procedures, and/or techniques. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the Federal service (GS-09).
OR
Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as accounting, business administration, business or commercial law, commerce, economics, engineering, finance, industrial management, statistics, traffic management, transportation, motor mechanics, or other fields related to the position. Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 18. Add the two percentages. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.)
