Duties

Manages short- and long-range planning and activities for multi-year plans for IT program administrative operations, functions, and resources including needs analysis, requirements, vendor selection to implementation.- Coordinate short- and long-range user services planning and utilization of IT resources, asset management and incident management for delivering IT service management tools and business goals. Maintain the operational management of the service center environment to include configuration and problem resolution, software distribution, call logging and tracking, workstation configurations, asset management, software discovery, and configuration management. Develops customer support procedures, standards, and performance metrics for the organizations serviced. Drafts, reviews, and provides comments on procedures, standards, and metrics from higher levels within the organization. Diagnoses and resolves problems in response to customer reported incidents; and reports, responds to, and resolves customer requests. Updates and maintains problem tracking/ticketing systems to track and identify customer needs, as well as to discuss requirements with the customer to resolve the customer need.

Specialize Experience In order to be rated as qualified for this position, the HR Office must be able to determine that you meet the specialized experience requirement - this information must be clearly supported in the resume. To qualify at the GS-13, you must possess one year of specialize experience equivalent in difficulty and complexity to at least the GS-12 level in federal service having demonstrated experience specialized experience at this level includes but is not limited to: experience supporting IT Service Management utilizing Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) best practices to implement a new IT service into the enterprise environment, planning, implementing and maintaining IT support services to resolve IT incidents and service requests. Experience in leading a tier 1/2 IT support desk. Ability to translate organization needs into technology requirements to support organizational objectives. Experience collaborating with peers and other organizations to facilitate capacity planning, work in-take, project management, incident management and workforce management to support Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft O365 and Linux in a large network environment.. You could otherwise qualify on the basis of Education having . Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Time-In-Grade: Current career or career-conditional employees of the Federal government, or former career or career-conditional employees, who have a break in service of less than one year, are required to meet the time-in-grade restriction of one year of Federal experience at the next lower-grade, with few exceptions outlined in 5 CFR 300.603(b). You must meet all Eligibility and Qualification requirements, including time-in-grade restrictions and any selective placement factors if applicable, by 04/24/2024.
