This position is located in the Small Business Administration, Office of Communications and Public Liaison in Washington, DC. Serves as a senior staff member in the Digital Media Department. Serves organizationally as a lead project manager for ensuring the effective implementation of Web initiatives throughout the SBA.
Duties
Develops and administers contract vehicles to support the delivery of mission critical Web products. Keep Director informed and briefed on the status throughout the contract(s) life cycle.
Develops Web content style guides, policies, standards and procedures to facilitate the effective management and implementation of SBA.gov content updates that support the agency core mission areas.
OCPL liaison with OCIO as the creative and content provider; and liaison to all program offices ensuring that the Web, content and communications standards are adhered to.
Applies project management techniques and best practices to the planning, development and implementation of SBA's Web content development and communications projects. This includes the development of performance standards and metrics.
Corresponds in writing, over the phone and in person with senior leaders in the private and public sectors to coordinate Web and communications strategies, arranges meetings and maintains
working relationships.
Requirements
- You must be a U.S. Citizen.
- You must be a current SBA career/conditional competitive service employee.
- You must successfully complete a background investigation.
- You may be required to serve a one-year probationary period.
- This is not a drug testing designated position (TDP).
- This is a non-bargaining unit position.
Qualifications
GS-14: One year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service, obtained in either the private or public sector:
Creating digital content including Web pages, program information and Web tools developed for the agency's primary Website; AND
Working with various stakeholders on developing communications standards, requirements and guidelines related to digital content and serve as primary liaison with stakeholders is required.; AND
Understanding of Federal government Website standards, policies and requirements pertaining to digital transformation and customer service, 508 accessibility, language translation and branding; AND
Managing contractors related to a significant federal government Website; AND
Managing projects independently, strategically and collaboratively with many offices in an agency-wide enterprise approach.
