You will serve as a Supervisory Security Specialist within NAVY SYSTEMS MANAGEMENT ACTIVITY.
This position is in the excepted service and does not confer competitive status.
Duties
You will supervise and lead security directorate teams providing support to sensitive activities and special projects.
You will plan, direct, and control the allocation and utilization of all authorized resources for the executions of the mission.
You will lead and participate in cross functional working groups and Integrated Product Team's that identify, manage and apply performance measures to organization-wide business systems, deficenies and processes.
You will provide security guidance to cross-functional NELO employees and other security specialists.
You will identify challenging assignments and plan for significantly new or far-reaching security programs requirements and programs requiring innovative solutions.
Requirements

- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-13) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate performing duties such as the following;
1. Planning, developing, and implementing vital security programs which are essential to the mission of the organization and joint programs.
2. Developing policies and procedures essential to the mission of the organization, shared equities with other agencies, industry partners, and academic institutions.
3. Planning, scheduling, coordinating, and implementing the effectiveness of projects.
4. Determining training needs, delegating responsibilities, and performing reviews and evaluations for subordinates.
