This position is located in the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), Office of Justice Programs (OJP), Office of Administration (OA), Business Resources Division (BRD), Associate Director of Event and Conference Services. This position manages OJP's conference center with all associated offerings (audiovisual, conference coordination, printing and publications, etc.)

Duties

Serves as Office of Justice Programs (OJP), Office of Administration (OA), Business Resources Division (BRD), Associate Director of Event and Conference Services. Manages OJP's conference center with all associated offerings (audiovisual, conference coordination, printing and publications, etc.) Serves as the organizational expert, overseeing the conference, multimedia, and graphics program functions in support of conference services and conference related outreach. Acts as expert technical consultant, performing outreach, advising on the best procurement vehicles and assisting with market research. Provides authoritative advice and assistance on various aspects of OA/BRD program areas and determines for other areas where OA/BRD can expand essential supplies/services solutions and encourages the use of resources for this purpose. Works collaboratively across the division and Agency to evaluate modern systems and devices for the processing of information, reproduction of printed materials via Government Publishing Office (GPO) and external vendors (preparing camera-ready artwork, production and post-production exhibits, etc.).

Qualifications

Specialized Experience: Applicants must have one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 level. Specialized experience is experience which is in or related to the line of work of the position to be filled and which has equipped the applicant with the specific knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Examples of specialized experience include: Manages or leads a conference center with all associated offerings (audiovisual, conference coordination, printing and publications, etc.) Provides oversight and/or liaison for resource management and/or maintenance programs and direction of on-site conference management services. Develops, coordinates, evaluates and/or monitors mail, printing, distribution, creative/graphic design, conference logistics and audiovisual services. Manages staff and/or contractor design of materials and environment for professional seminars, workshops, training events, briefings and/or conferences with stakeholders, Agency and/or Department officials.
