About the position: This position will be assigned to the Community Services Flight Bowling Center.
Duties
Performs administrative duties pertaining to bowling events, food & beverage (F&B) operations, funds accountability, purchasing, inventory and other aspects of the Bowling Center's operations. Assists in establishing and promoting viable Bowling programs and F&B menu items that cater to the needs of assigned personnel and their dependents. Responsible for overall supervision and recruitment of the Bowling Center and Grill staff to include assignment of duties and establishment of work schedules to ensure that all shifts are adequately staffed. Establishes and implements a comprehensive training program. Promotes, organizes and schedules a variety of bowling events: league, tournament, Thunder Alley Bowling program and special events (to include BBQ options).
Ensures that maintenance and preventative maintenance performed on all bowling related equipment. Coordinates with military and local agencies to conduct a variety of bowling and F&B events. Ensures appropriate bowling and F&B equipment, parts and supplies are on hand. Oversees lane maintenance and conditioning in accordance with USBC rules. Acts as Alternate Facility Manager and Equipment Custodian; completes work order requests, conducts NAF and APF equipment inventories, and ensures fire/safety inspections performed. Opens and closes the bowling center as required. Receives and verifies cash and makes bank deposits, assists with daily paperwork and inputting invoices into inventory system.
Works under the supervision of the Bowling Center Manager. Performs other related duties as assigned.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.
Qualifying Experience:
Must have previous experience and Manager's Serve-Safe certification, knowledge of equipment and bowling lane care.
Must have experience in receipt, disbursement, examination, deposit and use of cash accountability control methods.
Must have the ability to communicate both orally and in writing.
Experience in bowling and food public health programs, procedures and rules (including rules related to organization of leagues and tournaments), and which provided in depth knowledge of the operations of at least one of the functions of a bowling facility.
Must be physically able to lift and carry objects weighing in excess of 40 pounds.
Must be able to satisfactorily complete a pre-employment physical examination.
Must be able to satisfactorily complete a food handler training.
Must be able to satisfactorily complete a Tier 1 (T1) background investigation.

Education
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does allow for education substitution.
FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying.
